About

Colorado-based artist Aniya Khalili Hollo makes abstract paintings inspired by her emotional interpretations of colors and words. She uses scraped and staining, oil and mixing of different media.
She loves to try new techniques in her paintings. Her work has a wide range of expression, exploring variations in color, shape, and texture. Motion and emotion
come to life in her work, expressed through varying color and form, often capturing the natural world through the lenses of human perception and emotion.
Her passion for art left her:
she’s been painting since she learned how to pick up a pen.
In her career, she is a professional mechanical engineer and has earned her PhD in
mechanical engineering with a focus on air quality. She is inspired in her art by her
road trips around the USA, especially the colorful Colorado nature. Her Persian
and German background is an obvious part of her paintings.
